The Castle of Seneffe calls on all your senses to discover the new permanent plates collection from the French-speaking Community.
"Splendour and intimacy" plunges you in a particular vision of 18th century. This sensory exhibition offers a journey through paintings of the age. Silversmith pieces, evocative sounds, film extracts, allusive smells...

Comment:

This summer residence was commissioned by Count Julien Depestre and was built between 1763 and 1768 according to plans drawn by architect Laurent Benoît Dewez. The castle is at the centre of a remarkable 18th century group of buildings which includes an orangery, a neoclassic theatre, an aviary and gardens, set in a park of 22 ha.

Park and garden: daily open, except in case of bad weather: from 8 am to 6 pm, except in April, May, June, July, August and September: from 8 am to 8 pm.
It is possible to have a bite to eat in the cafeteria.
Closed on Mondays (except when public holidays), 24, 25 and 31/12 and 1/1.

Access: E19 motorway, exit 20 (Feluy), direction Seneffe - Or E42 motorway, exit 18 (Chapelle-lez-Herlaimont), follow signs for Seneffe / Train: Manage or Nivelles station /

The Estate of the Castle of Seneffe will be accessible to visually impaired persons, following a partnership with LES AMIS DES AVEUGLES. Since 1929, this association has been striving to improve the life conditions of visual impaired persons.
