Welcome to Mons, the City of the Doudou. A city blessed by heaven, defended by a valiant knight when threatened by a dragon. During la Ducasse, the whole city comes together to fight El Biète! Mons, cradled by History and abounding in major architectural and cultural heritage, was designated European Capital of Culture in 2015! It’s also the cultural capital of Wallonia with a host of museums, including the BAM (Museum of Fine Arts Mons), which boasts 15,000 works from the 20^th century.
